Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use VoxText without creating an account?
Yes. Try up to 10 minutes as a guest. A free account includes up to 30 lifetime minutes total; guest use is included when linked to the account.
Which audio files can I upload?
VoxText accepts MP3, M4A and WAV files up to 100 MB. The maximum length for one file depends on your current allowance and plan; the uploader shows your limit before you choose a file.
Can I edit and download my transcript?
Yes. Review and edit the text on the page, then copy it or download the edited version as a UTF-8 TXT file.
Does VoxText create summaries, subtitles or speaker labels?
No. VoxText provides editable transcript text, with copy and TXT download. It does not generate summaries, export SRT subtitles or automatically label speakers.
What happens to my recording?
Audio is processed through private temporary storage and a transcription provider. VoxText requests deletion of temporary audio after processing. Completed transcripts are available for retrieval for up to one hour and are scheduled for deletion after delivery. See the Privacy page for details.
